Use energy more intelligently.

The heating runs at the wrong times, some rooms need different temperatures, or the controls are hard to use. Start with the system and the rooms, not an assumed saving.

01

Heating controls, chosen for your home

We assess the boiler, wiring, hot-water controls and radiator valves, then select compatible heating and radiator controls. Older and newer product families do not always work together. The quote includes the receiver and connection equipment the chosen system needs.

02

Radiator controls, zones and schedules

Suitable smart radiator controls can support room-by-room control, alongside an appropriate system setup. Existing valves, heating behaviour and the proposed zones are assessed; valve-body alterations are separately scoped.

03

Warm where you need it

Set the home office around working hours and keep bedrooms comfortable when you use them. We configure the room controls and heating demand together, so a schedule makes sense for the whole system. For rooms that overheat, combine this thinking with the shading and cooling options in Comfort.

04

See what selected appliances use

A suitable smart plug with reliable energy monitoring can show the electricity used by a plug-in appliance. It can also make switching an awkward socket easier. We check load ratings and whether monitoring is useful before adding it.

What that could look like at home.

Different rooms, different routines

Schedule the home office for working hours and agree the appropriate heating approach for less-used rooms.

A control you can confidently adjust

Clear names, sensible schedules and a handover make it easier to change plans when your day changes.

Quiet background protection

A small leak detector near a boiler, washing machine or another risk point can alert you to detected water before a minor leak becomes a major problem. Placement and connected alerts depend on the chosen setup; it does not prevent leaks or replace maintenance.

The room, considered together

Agree schedules and keep everyday controls within reach.

Genuine showroom installation. Exact system compatibility and demonstration availability are confirmed before your visit. Better schedules can avoid unnecessary heating; savings depend on the home and how it is used.

Better control. Honest expectations.

Smart zoning can reduce unnecessary heating by keeping unused rooms cooler. Results depend on the home, existing controls, safe room temperatures and how the system is used. A well-controlled home may see little or no saving; we promise no percentage reduction or payback.

What the heating evidence can — and cannot — tell us

Research into zonal control and smart thermostats concerns particular homes, starting controls and patterns of use. It does not establish a universal saving for this package. We use schedules to make the system more useful, with appropriate temperatures for the building and household.

LED wattage savings are different from automation savings

For equivalent brightness, replacing a 60W lamp with an 8W LED used three hours daily saves about 56.94kWh a year: approximately £14.87 at 26.11p/kWh. Six 50W lamps replaced by six 5W LEDs on the same schedule save about 295.65kWh, or £77.19.

These are annualised arithmetic examples using the July–September 2026 electricity rate, not a forecast of your tariff or bill. They exclude standby power. The reduced wattage creates this saving; a smart bulb or automation does not automatically add another saving.

Small appliance insights and separate water awareness

A Smart Plug can show the use of an agreed, suitable plug-in appliance. Standby savings may be small and must account for the plug’s own consumption. We do not automate fridges, medical equipment, heating or cooling loads as a general all-off routine.

A Water Leak Sensor can sound at detected water, with an sensor hub for connected notifications. It is a separately quoted protection addition, not a heating saving or automatic water shut-off.

Useful actions, with clear limits.

Options to agree for your home. A package includes its stated number of routines, not every example below.

Water warning

Hear an alert where water should not be and know where to look.

Equipment & everyday fallback

Water Leak Sensor; sensor hub for connected alerts.

The sensor sounds locally; phone notification needs the hub and internet. It does not shut water off or replace inspection.

Bedroom heating times

Choose useful warmth for the times you use the room.

Equipment & everyday fallback

compatible heating controls and selected radiator heads.

Basic schedules need no paid plan. Manual control remains; a controller, power or network fault can still interrupt heat delivery.

What we check before you commit

Compatibility and existing valve suitability determine what is possible. Additional plumbing or system alterations are separately quoted. We do not promise percentage bill reductions: results depend on the property, heating system and how it is used. This package is not boiler servicing, gas work or boiler replacement.

A few practical questions.

Will smart heating work with my current heating system?

We check your boiler or heat source, existing thermostat wiring, radiator valves and control layout before choosing a kit. Compatibility is confirmed against the exact system and product revision, not assumed.

Thermostat, TRV or smart TRV: what is the difference?

A room thermostat controls a heating demand; a TRV limits an individual radiator; a smart TRV adds schedules or connected control. Whether a room can call for heat depends on the complete system design.

Do I need controls on every radiator?

No universal rule. We start with the rooms you want to manage and check system balance, bypass requirements and existing controls. Unused rooms can often remain simple.

Will it genuinely save energy or mainly improve control and comfort?

Better schedules may avoid needless heating, but savings depend on the building and how it is used. We lead with comfort and control and do not promise a percentage saving.

Can I still use heating without the internet or app?

Suitable local controls remain available on the installed system. App access, remote commands and some schedules or integrations may depend on the network. We demonstrate the agreed fallback controls at handover.

Exact model and installation to confirm · Reviewed 2026-09-23
Can physical controls and manual override remain?

That is a design priority. We specify an obvious everyday control and show how to use it if a phone is unavailable. The exact fallback is confirmed for the chosen hardware.

Which is appropriate: blind, external shutter or awning?

An internal blind manages light and privacy; an external shutter can shade an opening; an awning shades a suitable outdoor area and glazing. We survey sun direction, mounting, wind exposure, access and the result you want.

Why shade before a room becomes hot?

Stopping strong sun at the glazing or outside can reduce heat entering the room. We choose a practical trigger and retain a manual control; the result depends on the room and product.

Can I start with one room and expand?

Yes, after checking the control architecture and future wiring or hub needs. Starting with one uncomfortable room makes the result easy to understand and test.
