Feel more at ease when you close the front door. We can strengthen the weak points, help you see who’s calling and set up alerts for the things you want to know about.
You want to know who is at the door, check a vulnerable side entrance and feel confident that the physical weak points have been considered.
Exact equipment is chosen for your home.
01
Strengthen
Appropriate lock upgrades, door reinforcement, window-security improvements and stronger garage or outbuilding security, including garage reinforcement plate where suitable. Bars and retractable or collapsible grilles principally suit garages, workshops, outbuildings and storage spaces. Suitable security shutters are assessed for the opening, escape needs and everyday use.
02
See
A video doorbell and suitable outdoor cameras can cover the entrance and useful viewpoints. We agree placement, what is in view, power and connection needs before installation.
03
Know
Door/contact and motion sensors provide useful awareness. Choose the alerts you want to receive and keep familiar controls within reach. Leak protection sits within Comfort; standalone smoke/CO protection can be appropriate without connectivity.
04
Act
An appropriate exterior light, an arrival or away routine and selected notifications make the information useful. Familiar controls remain part of the plan.
What that could look like at home.
Protection works best as a whole: a sound door, a useful view and light when you need it. Equipment selected after assessment.
At the front door
See a visitor, hear the chime and receive the alerts you choose. We also assess the door and its existing lock.
Along the side passage
An agreed camera viewpoint and suitable motion-linked light help you check that area without lighting up the whole property.
In the workshop
Reinforcement, a contact sensor and suitable bars or grilles can make sense for valuable tools in an ancillary building.

REAL INSTALLATION. REAL USE.
Smart Indoor / Outdoor Camera
Installed in the Snug showroom
See what is happening without filling your home with obvious security equipment.
Check an agreed view and choose the notifications that matter.
The location and camera specification must match. Remote viewing needs power and internet.

What our camera actually shows in the showroom
These photographs show our real equipment and control screen. Your chosen camera, view and alert functions are confirmed in the specification.
More relevant alerts, chosen for your home
Selected cameras can distinguish people, pets such as cats and dogs, and vehicles, helping you choose more relevant alerts. Available categories depend on the assessed specification; detection is not infallible.
We explain the available alert options and confirm them in your specification.
REAL INSTALLATION. REAL USE.
Video Doorbell
Doorbell on the real showroom entrance display
Know who has arrived, at home or away.
See the visitor and speak through the doorbell remotely — useful for giving delivery instructions.
Phone alerts and remote viewing need connectivity; chime and local controls depend on the selected setup.

What our video doorbell actually shows in the showroom
See the visitor view, hear the chime and discuss the controls you would actually use. We confirm available demonstrations when booking.
More relevant alerts, chosen for your home
Selected video doorbells can distinguish people, pets, vehicles and packages. We confirm supported alerts for the specified device and test the view with you.

Discreet by default.
Start with the door, frame, window or garage. The right measured improvement can complement a doorbell and useful alerts without making a home feel fortified.
A properly measured cylinder
An appropriately rated cylinder can be suitable where the door, lock and exact length suit it. We measure both sides and check projection, operation and escape needs.
A handle that fits the whole door
A compatible security handle can protect the cylinder area. Centres, screw positions, spindle, thickness and the existing door determine suitability.
Reinforce a vulnerable frame
Frame reinforcement or suitable strike-plate and hinge hardware can strengthen an appropriate weak point. Fit, fixings, frame condition and safe escape come before an equipment choice.
Garage-specific protection
A garage reinforcement plate can suit selected up-and-over garage doors. A garage-specific additional bolt needs careful assessment: a manually locked bolt can conflict with a powered door and its safe operation.
Windows and ancillary spaces
Proportionate window measures, bars or retractable grilles may suit workshops, stores and outbuildings. Grilles are not the default for living spaces; escape routes and everyday use remain essential.
Physical improvements are assessed and quoted separately from Home Watch. A component rating applies to that component; it does not certify the whole doorset as PAS 24 or imply insurance approval.
Choose what you record and what you hear.
At the doorstep
The Video Doorbell comes with its own chime. Its recording behaviour depends on the agreed power mode and setup; battery use is not a continuous-recording promise.
A useful outside view
A suitable outdoor camera covers an agreed viewpoint. We assess power, Wi-Fi, night lighting and privacy masking.
Your recordings
Home Watch specifies two high-endurance cards for local storage. Storage duration varies with settings and activity. Optional cloud storage is separate; we demonstrate recording and playback.
The sensor hub in Home Watch serves the door/window and indoor motion sensors; it is not a substitute for the video doorbell’s included chime. The Smart Plug controls a suitable indoor lamp. Exterior light fittings are assessed separately.
Useful actions, with clear limits.
Options to agree for your home. A package includes its stated number of routines, not every example below.
Welcome light
Let an entrance contact bring on an agreed hall lamp during the times you choose.
Equipment & everyday fallback
Door / Window Sensor, sensor hub and Smart Plug/Smart Bulb.
Local action and time condition must be supported and tested. Opening alone cannot distinguish arrival from departure; keep a physical light control.
Doorstep after dark
Light the place where a visitor stands with a suitable exterior motion light.
Equipment & everyday fallback
Outdoor-rated standalone PIR fitting.
Independent of internet. Electrical work and any manual override depend on the fitting; this is separate from a selected routine.
Away lighting
Run selected lamps at agreed times while you are away.
Equipment & everyday fallback
Smart Plug Away Mode or a supported schedule.
Setup, time sync and remote changes may need internet. This is useful lighting, not a burglary-prevention promise.
Useful camera alerts
Choose a relevant view and notification times to reduce unwanted pings.
Equipment & everyday fallback
selected camera and doorbell detection and privacy zones.
Phone alerts need internet and phone permissions. Local recordings and the chime have their own equipment and power limits.
What we check before you commit
Existing fittings, electrical supply, camera placement and network coverage must suit the equipment. Physical protection is assessed and separately quoted where required. Cameras and alerts are not a monitored emergency-response service; connected functions may depend on internet, power or optional subscriptions.

A few practical questions.
Do I need a subscription?+
Not necessarily. The answer depends on the exact camera, recording method and features you choose. We will show any optional cloud plan and what works without it before you decide.
Where are recordings stored?+
That depends on the chosen model and setup: supported local card or hub storage, an optional cloud plan, or another approved route. We confirm capacity, access and retention for the exact equipment in your quote.
What happens if broadband, Wi-Fi or power fails?+
These are different failures. Remote viewing and notifications may stop without internet; local functions vary by device and storage choice. Without power, mains equipment stops unless separately backed up. We test the installed recovery behaviour.
Battery, mains or wired network?+
We choose after checking the position, charging access, reliable power, network coverage and whether continuous viewing is needed. Each route has different maintenance and installation needs.
Will Wi-Fi reach the device position?+
We measure coverage at the final mounting point, including outdoor positions. If it is weak, we agree a network improvement or a different location before fitting.
How are false or excessive notifications controlled?+
We agree which events matter, then set detection zones, sensitivity, schedules and recipients where the selected model supports them. We test a normal day and adjust the alerts.
Can several household or staff members use it?+
Usually, but permissions and sharing controls depend on the chosen app and model. We agree who needs access, set up named users where supported and demonstrate how to remove access.
What privacy and camera-positioning responsibilities apply?+
We plan the field of view, avoid unnecessary coverage and review who can see recordings. Cameras capturing areas beyond your property may carry additional responsibilities; we discuss the ICO guidance during survey.
Can I begin with one product and add to it?+
Yes, when the first device and hub or network choices leave a sensible expansion path. We start with the problem that matters most and plan any later additions without promising universal compatibility.
